Chinx

Bio

Chinx (born Lionel Pickens, December 4, 1983 – May 17, 2015) was an American rapper from Far Rockaway, Queens, New York. He first gained attention as part of the hip-hop collective The Riot Squad alongside fellow Queens native French Montana. After releasing a series of mixtapes under the name Chinx Drugz, he shortened his moniker to Chinx and signed with Coke Boys Records. His music blended street narratives with melodic hooks, and he collaborated frequently with French Montana, Lil Durk, and other East Coast artists. Chinx was fatally shot in a drive-by attack in Queens in 2015; his posthumous album "Legend" was released later that year.
