Loon is an American rapper born Chauncey Lamont Hawkins on June 20, 1975, in Harlem, New York. He first gained recognition in the early 2000s as a protégé of P. Diddy, appearing on Bad Boy Records releases and contributing to tracks such as "I Need a Girl (Part One)" and "I Need a Girl (Part Two)." His self-titled debut album, released in 2003, showcased his smooth delivery and melodic style, blending hip-hop with R&B influences. After parting ways with Bad Boy, Loon continued to release independent projects and collaborated with various artists across the hip-hop and R&B spectrum. His work is noted for its introspective lyricism and distinctive vocal tone, maintaining a presence in underground and mainstream circles alike.
