Bio
Christopher Cross is an American singer-songwriter from San Antonio, Texas. He rose to prominence in the late 1970s and early 1980s with a yacht rock and soft rock sound characterized by smooth melodies and polished production. His self-titled debut album yielded four Top 20 singles including the Grammy-winning “Sailing,” and he became the first artist to win the “Big Four” Grammys in a single night. Subsequent albums such as Another Page and Back of My Mind continued his adult contemporary success, while later releases explored acoustic and jazz-inflected material. Cross has collaborated with artists including Michael McDonald and performed with orchestras worldwide.
