Bio

Jarvis Cocker is an English musician, singer-songwriter and broadcaster best known as the frontman of the band Pulp. Born in Sheffield in 1963, he formed Pulp while still at school and led the group through its rise to prominence in the Britpop era of the 1990s. After Pulp went on hiatus in the early 2000s, Cocker launched a solo career with the album Jarvis (2006) and later released Further Complications (2009). He has also worked as a radio presenter, notably hosting the BBC 6 Music show Jarvis Cocker’s Sunday Service, and has composed film scores and collaborated with other artists.
