Bio
Señor Coconut is the stage name of German musician Uwe Schmidt, born in Frankfurt am Main in 1968. He is known for his electronic reinterpretations of Latin American music, particularly cha-cha-chá and exotica styles. Schmidt began his career in the 1990s under various aliases, including Atom Heart, and later adopted the Señor Coconut persona to explore Latin rhythms through electronic production. His work often features covers of popular songs reimagined in tropical styles, blending vintage sounds with modern technology.
