Duncan Laurence is a Dutch singer-songwriter born on 11 April 1994 in Spijkenisse, Netherlands. He first gained international recognition after winning the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 for the Netherlands with the song "Arcade". Laurence began his musical journey studying at the Rockacademie in Tilburg before rising to prominence through the Dutch talent show The Voice of Holland in 2014. Following his Eurovision victory, Laurence released his debut studio album "Small Town Boy" in 2020, which included the hit single "Arcade". The song achieved significant commercial success across Europe and beyond, earning multi-platinum certifications in several countries. Laurence continues to release music and perform internationally, establishing himself as one of the Netherlands' prominent contemporary artists.
