Bio

The Doors were an American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1965, consisting of vocalist Jim Morrison, keyboardist Ray Manzarek, guitarist Robby Krieger, and drummer John Densmore. Emerging from the psychedelic scene, they became known for their dark, poetic lyrics and Morrison's charismatic stage presence, blending blues, jazz, and classical influences into their sound. The band achieved mainstream success with hits like "Light My Fire" and "Riders on the Storm," releasing six studio albums before Morrison's death in 1971. Their music explored themes of freedom, rebellion, and mysticism, cementing their status as one of the most influential acts of the 1960s counterculture.
