Bio
Camp Lo is an American hip hop duo from the Bronx, New York, formed in 1995. The group is known for its distinctive blend of East Coast hip hop, jazz rap, and old-school influences, characterized by playful, abstract lyricism and lush, sample-heavy production. They first gained widespread recognition with their 1997 debut album "Uptown Saturday Night," which featured the hit single "Luchini AKA This Is It." The duo's style often draws on 1970s soul and funk aesthetics, creating a nostalgic yet innovative sound that has influenced subsequent generations of hip hop artists.
