Lee Fields is an American soul singer born in Wilson, North Carolina, in 1950. He began recording in the late 1960s and earned the nickname "Little JB" for his vocal resemblance to James Brown. After a long hiatus from the music industry, Fields returned in the early 2000s and has since released several critically acclaimed albums on labels such as Truth & Soul and Big Crown Records, often backed by the Expressions. His work is noted for its authentic retro-soul sound and powerful, emotive delivery.
