The Pointer Sisters are an American R&B and pop vocal group formed in Oakland, California in 1969. Originally consisting of sisters June, Bonnie, and Anita Pointer, the lineup later included their sister Ruth. They rose to prominence in the 1970s and 1980s with a string of hits blending soul, disco, and pop, including "I'm So Excited," "Jump (For My Love)," and "Slow Hand." The group won three Grammy Awards and achieved both critical and commercial success across multiple decades.
