Bio
Richard Hawley is an English guitarist, singer-songwriter and producer born in Sheffield in 1967. He first gained prominence as a member of the Longpigs and later Pulp before launching a solo career in the early 2000s. Hawley’s solo work is known for its cinematic, melancholic sound that blends baroque pop, rockabilly and classic crooner balladry. His albums often evoke the atmosphere of his native city and have earned critical acclaim for their lush arrangements and introspective songwriting.
