Markéta Irglová is a Czech singer-songwriter and pianist best known for her work in the indie-folk duo The Swell Season. She gained international recognition for her contributions to the soundtrack of the film Once, including the Academy Award-winning song "Falling Slowly," which she co-wrote and performed with Glen Hansard. Irglová has released several solo albums that blend folk, classical, and minimalist influences, showcasing her distinctive voice and introspective songwriting.
