Pink Martini is an American band formed in Portland, Oregon in 1994. The group blends classical, traditional pop, Latin, jazz, and world music, often performing in multiple languages including French, Italian, Spanish, and English. Led by pianist and founder Thomas Lauderdale, the ensemble has released several albums on their own Heinz Records label and has performed with orchestras worldwide. Their music is characterized by lush arrangements and a cosmopolitan, retro-inspired sound.
