Lee Hi (born Lee Ha-yi on September 23, 1996) is a South Korean singer-songwriter from Bucheon. She first gained national attention in 2012 as the runner-up on the reality competition series K-Pop Star 1, which led to a recording contract with YG Entertainment. Her debut single "1,2,3,4" topped the Gaon Digital Chart, and her first studio album First Love (2013) showcased a mature R&B and ballad sound. Subsequent releases such as the EP 24°C (2016) and the full-length album 4 ONLY (2021) further established her reputation for emotive vocals and introspective songwriting within the K-ballad and K-pop scenes.
