Bio
Tony Christie is an English singer born in Conisbrough, Yorkshire, in 1943. He rose to prominence in the early 1970s with hits such as "(Is This the Way to) Amarillo," "Las Vegas," and "I Did What I Did for Maria," establishing himself as a leading voice in British pop and easy-listening music. Over a career spanning more than five decades, Christie has released numerous albums and singles, maintaining a presence on the UK charts and performing internationally. His distinctive baritone and polished stage presence have kept him active in cabaret, television, and charity work, including a 2005 re-release of "Amarillo" that benefited the charity Comic Relief.
