Bon Jovi is an American rock band formed in 1983 in Sayreville, New Jersey. Fronted by singer Jon Bon Jovi and guitarist Richie Sambora, the group rose to global fame in the late 1980s with multi-platinum albums such as Slippery When Wet and New Jersey. Their sound blends glam metal, arena rock, and pop sensibilities, producing enduring hits like "Livin' on a Prayer" and "Wanted Dead or Alive." The band has sold over 130 million records worldwide, earned multiple Grammy Awards, and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2018.
