Bio
Rush was a Canadian rock band formed in Toronto in 1968, consisting of bassist/keyboardist/vocalist Geddy Lee, guitarist Alex Lifeson, and drummer Neil Peart. The group became known for their technical proficiency, complex compositions, and philosophical lyrics, evolving from early hard rock roots into progressive rock pioneers. Over their career spanning more than four decades, they released 19 studio albums and became one of the most influential rock bands, particularly noted for Peart's virtuosic drumming and the band's ambitious concept albums. Rush was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013.
