Ashin Chen (born 6 December 1975) is a Taiwanese singer-songwriter and frontman of the rock band Mayday. Born in Taipei, he rose to prominence in the late 1990s as the lead vocalist of the group, which became one of the most influential acts in the Mandopop and C-pop scenes. Beyond Mayday, Chen has released solo material and is recognized for his introspective lyrics and melodic style that blend rock elements with mainstream pop sensibilities. He remains a central figure in Taiwanese popular music, known for his long-standing career and contributions as both performer and songwriter.
