Béatrice Martin, known professionally as Cœur de pirate, is a Canadian singer-songwriter from Montréal. She began playing piano at age three and released her self-titled debut album in 2008, which achieved platinum status in Québec and introduced her intimate, piano-driven pop songs to a wide francophone audience. Her follow-up albums Blonde (2011) and Roses (2015) expanded her sound while maintaining French-language lyrics that explore love, loss, and personal growth. In addition to her solo work, she has composed scores for film and television and collaborated with artists across pop, indie, and electronic genres.
