Bio
Maurice Ravel was a French composer and pianist born in 1875 in Ciboure, France. He studied at the Paris Conservatoire and became one of the most influential composers of the early twentieth century. His works are celebrated for their innovative orchestration, intricate harmonies, and impressionistic textures. Major compositions include Boléro, Daphnis et Chloé, and Piano Concerto in G major. Ravel collaborated with prominent artists of his era and maintained a meticulous approach to composition throughout his career. He died in Paris in 1937.
