Amitabh Bachchan (born 11 October 1942) is an Indian actor, playback singer, and film producer whose career spans more than five decades. He rose to prominence in the 1970s with a series of action and dramatic roles, becoming one of the most influential figures in Hindi cinema. Beyond acting, Bachchan has contributed vocals to numerous film soundtracks, performing in genres such as bhajan and devotional music.
