Bio
Laurent Petitgirard is a French composer and conductor born in Paris in 1950. He studied composition with his father, Serge Petitgirard, and later at the Paris Conservatory. Petitgirard has composed symphonic works, concertos, and operas, and has conducted major orchestras including the Orchestre Colonne, which he led as music director from 2004 to 2020. His compositions often blend traditional forms with contemporary techniques and have been performed internationally.
