Los Tucanes de Tijuana are a Mexican banda ensemble formed in Tijuana, Baja California, in the late 1980s. The group is known for its energetic brass-driven sound that blends traditional banda with norteño, ranchera, and cumbia norteña styles. Led by founding member Mario Quintero Lara, the band has maintained a steady presence in the regional Mexican music scene for more than three decades, releasing dozens of albums and touring extensively throughout Mexico and the United States. Their repertoire includes both original corridos and dance-oriented tracks, helping popularize the modern banda format while remaining rooted in the musical traditions of Sinaloa and the border region.
