Kay Johannsen (born 1 October 1961) is a German organist, choral conductor and church musician. He has served as organist and director of music at several prominent churches in Germany, including the Thomaskirche in Leipzig, where he has led performances of the weekly Bach cantata series. His work focuses on the interpretation of Baroque sacred music, particularly the compositions of Johann Sebastian Bach, and he is noted for his contributions to choral and organ repertoire within the classical and choral genres.
