Junior Reid (born Delroy Reid, 6 June 1963) is a Jamaican reggae and dancehall singer and producer. He first gained prominence in the late 1970s as the lead vocalist of the roots-reggae group Black Uhuru, contributing to several of their classic recordings. After leaving the group, Reid launched a solo career that blended traditional roots reggae with the emerging ragga style, scoring hits such as "One Blood" and "Boom Shack-A-Lak." In addition to performing, he has run his own JR Productions label and collaborated with artists across reggae, hip-hop, and electronic music.
