Amaia Montero Saldías is a Spanish singer-songwriter born in Irun in 1976. She first gained prominence as the lead vocalist of the pop band La Oreja de Van Gogh, contributing to several multi-platinum albums before embarking on a solo career in 2008. Her debut solo album, Amaia Montero (2008), topped the Spanish charts and was followed by additional releases that blended pop and singer-songwriter styles. She is known for her distinctive voice and introspective lyrics.
