Bio

Zakk Wylde is an American guitarist, singer, and songwriter best known for his work with Ozzy Osbourne and as the founder of Black Label Society. Born Jeffrey Phillip Wielandt in Bayonne, New Jersey, he rose to prominence in the late 1980s after joining Osbourne's band, where his distinctive pinch harmonics and blues-based playing style became a signature element of Osbourne's recordings and live performances. Beyond his tenure with Osbourne, Wylde has maintained an active solo career through Black Label Society, releasing multiple albums that blend heavy metal, southern rock, and blues influences. He is recognized for his technical proficiency on guitar and his use of custom Les Paul-style instruments, often featuring his trademark bullseye finish.
