Bio
Sportfreunde Stiller is a German rock band formed in 1996 in Germering, Bavaria. The group, consisting of Peter "Balboa" Brugger (vocals, guitar), Rüdiger "Rüde" Linhof (bass), and Florian "Floh" Weber (drums), gained popularity in the early 2000s with their energetic live performances and catchy indie rock sound. Their breakthrough came with the 2004 album "Die gute Seite," which featured the hit single "'54, '74, '90, 2006," an unofficial anthem for the German national football team during the 2006 FIFA World Cup. The band has released several successful albums and remains known for their distinctive blend of German-language indie rock and pop sensibilities.
