Strings is a Pakistani pop-rock band formed in 1988 in Karachi. The group rose to prominence in the 1990s with a string of Urdu-language hits that blended Western rock instrumentation with South-Asian melodies. After a hiatus in the early 2000s, Strings reunited and continued releasing albums that helped define the modern Pakistani pop sound.
