Fruko y sus Tesos is a Colombian salsa and tropical music ensemble founded in 1970 by Julio Ernesto Estrada Rincón, known professionally as Fruko. The group emerged from the vibrant music scene of Medellín and quickly became one of the leading exponents of salsa in Colombia, blending traditional Cuban rhythms with local influences. Over five decades the band has released dozens of albums and singles, establishing a distinctive sound that helped popularize salsa across Latin America.
