Laura Mvula is a British neo-soul singer, songwriter, and composer born in Birmingham in 1986. She first gained attention with her 2012 EP She and her 2013 debut album Sing to the Moon, which showcased her rich voice and orchestral arrangements. Her work blends classical influences with contemporary soul, and she has collaborated with artists such as Nile Rodgers and the Metropole Orkest.
