Manfred Mann's Earth Band is a British rock group formed in 1971 by keyboardist Manfred Mann after the dissolution of his earlier band Manfred Mann. The band is known for its blend of classic rock and progressive rock, often incorporating lengthy instrumental passages and reinterpretations of well-known songs. Their 1976 cover of Bruce Springsteen's "Blinded by the Light" became their biggest international hit, reaching number one on the Billboard Hot 100. The group has maintained a presence in the rock scene for over five decades, releasing numerous studio albums and continuing to tour.
