Bio
Joe Flizzow is a Malaysian rapper, singer and producer born in Kuala Lumpur in 1979. He first rose to prominence as one half of the hip-hop duo Too Phat, whose albums helped popularize Malay-language rap in the early 2000s. After the group disbanded, he launched a solo career that blends contemporary hip-hop with Malay pop sensibilities, releasing several well-received singles and albums. Beyond recording, Flizzow has served as a judge on Malaysian television talent shows and founded the Kartel Records label, which nurtures new urban-music acts. His work has earned multiple Anugerah Industri Muzik awards and established him as one of Malaysia’s most influential figures in modern Malay hip-hop.
