Fiji (born George Veikoso, 10 May 1970 – 2025) was a Fijian-born Polynesian reggae, hip-hop and R&B artist who grew up in Hawaii. He first gained attention in the mid-1990s with the hit single “Sweet Darlin’,” which helped establish his smooth, island-infused sound across the Pacific. Over the following decades he released a steady catalog of albums that blended contemporary reggae grooves with R&B melodies and occasional rap verses, becoming one of the most recognizable voices in the “nz reggae” scene. Fiji maintained an active touring schedule throughout the Pacific and North America until his death in 2025.
