Mapei is a Swedish-American singer and songwriter born Jacqueline Mapei Cummings on December 20, 1983, in Providence, Rhode Island. Raised between the United States and Sweden, she blends soul, pop, and electronic influences in her music. She first gained international attention with her 2013 single "Don’t Wait," which became a hit in Sweden and led to her signing with major labels. Her debut album "Hey Hey" followed in 2014, showcasing her distinctive voice and genre-crossing style.
