Abdel Rahman El Bacha is a Lebanese pianist born in Beirut in 1958. He studied at the Paris Conservatory, where he won first prizes in piano and chamber music, and later won the Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels in 1978. His repertoire spans the Classical and Romantic eras, with a particular affinity for the works of Chopin, Schumann, and the French impressionists. He has performed with major orchestras worldwide and recorded extensively for labels such as Forlane and Lyrinx.
