Bio
Shyne is an American-Belizean rapper born Moses Michael Leviy in Belize City on November 8, 1978. He rose to prominence in the late 1990s with his debut album Shyne (2000), which featured the hit single "Bad Boyz" and showcased his deep voice and gritty lyricism rooted in East Coast hip-hop. After serving nearly a decade in prison on weapons and assault charges stemming from a 1999 nightclub shooting, Shyne was deported to Belize in 2009. He later returned to music, releasing Gangland (2012) and later pursuing political ambitions in Belize, including a stint as a member of the House of Representatives.
