Bio
Surinder Shinda (1953–2023) was an Indian singer and pioneer of Punjabi folk and bhangra music. Born in Punjab, he rose to prominence in the 1970s with his powerful voice and energetic style, becoming one of the most influential figures in the genre. Over a career spanning five decades, he released numerous albums and collaborated with leading Punjabi artists, helping to popularize bhangra both in India and abroad. Shinda passed away in 2023, leaving behind a lasting legacy in Punjabi music.
