Bio

The Black Keys are an American blues rock duo formed in Akron, Ohio in 2001 by guitarist Dan Auerbach and drummer Patrick Carney. The pair began recording in Carney’s basement and quickly developed a raw, garage-infused sound rooted in classic blues and rock & roll. Over the following two decades the band expanded its reach with a string of acclaimed albums, multiple Grammy Awards, and mainstream hits such as “Tighten Up” and “Lonely Boy.” Their music blends gritty guitar riffs, driving rhythms, and Auerbach’s soulful vocals, earning them a reputation as one of the leading modern blues-rock acts.
