Mashrou' Leila was a Lebanese alternative rock band formed in Beirut in 2008. The group gained recognition for their socially and politically charged lyrics, often addressing topics such as identity, sexuality, and civil rights in the Arab world. Their music blended Western rock influences with Middle Eastern sounds, and they performed in both Arabic and English. The band released several albums and toured internationally before disbanding in 2022.
