Frankie Ruiz was a Puerto Rican salsa singer who rose to prominence in the 1980s and early 1990s. Known for his smooth voice and romantic style, he became one of the leading figures in the salsa romántica movement, releasing several successful albums that blended traditional salsa rhythms with contemporary ballad influences. His hits such as "Desnúdate Mujer" and "La Cura" helped define the genre during that era. Ruiz's career was cut short when he died in 1998 at the age of 40, leaving behind a lasting legacy in Latin music.
