The Coro dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia is the resident choir of Rome's Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, one of Italy's foremost musical institutions. Founded alongside the orchestra in the late 19th century, the choir performs the full spectrum of choral repertoire—from Renaissance polyphony and Baroque oratorios to contemporary works—both in its own concerts and as part of the Accademia's symphonic and operatic seasons. Under successive directors it has collaborated with leading conductors such as Leonard Bernstein, Claudio Abbado, and Sir Antonio Pappano, and has appeared at major festivals and venues worldwide. The ensemble also records extensively for labels including Deutsche Grammophon and Warner Classics, contributing to award-winning performances of Verdi Requiem, Beethoven's Missa Solemnis, and many other cornerstones of the choral-orchestral literature.
