Bio
Pablo de Sarasate (1844–1908) was a Spanish violinist and composer renowned for his technical brilliance and lyrical style. Born in Pamplona, he began performing publicly at an early age and studied at the Paris Conservatoire, where he quickly gained international acclaim. His compositions, including the celebrated Zigeunerweisen and the Carmen Fantasy, remain staples of the violin repertoire. Sarasate toured extensively throughout Europe and the Americas, leaving a lasting legacy as one of the foremost violin virtuosos of the Romantic era.
