Bio
Moshe Atzmon is a Hungarian-born Israeli conductor. He studied at the Franz Liszt Academy in Budapest and later in Israel, where he won the 1964 Dimitri Mitropoulos International Conducting Competition. His career includes principal conductor posts with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra, the Nagoya Philharmonic, and the Dortmunder Philharmoniker. He has also appeared as a guest conductor with major ensembles such as the London Symphony Orchestra, the Israel Philharmonic, and the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra. Atzmon is noted for his interpretations of late-Romantic and 20th-century repertoire.
