Bio
Tito Rojas (1955–2020) was a Puerto Rican singer and bandleader who rose to prominence in the 1980s and 1990s as one of the leading voices of salsa and merengue. Born in Humacao, he began his career singing with orchestras such as La Conquista and La Internacional before launching a solo career that produced hits like “Siempre Seré” and “El Amor de Mi Vida.” His powerful, emotive delivery and dance-oriented arrangements earned him the nickname “El Gallo de la Salsa.” Rojas maintained an active touring schedule across Latin America and the United States until his death in 2020.
