Alessandro Alessandroni (1925–2017) was an Italian composer, arranger, and multi-instrumentalist whose work spanned film scores, library music, and pop recordings. Born in Soriano nel Cimino, he became a key figure in Italy’s post-war music scene, collaborating with Ennio Morricone on numerous soundtracks and contributing distinctive guitar, sitar, and whistling parts to classic spaghetti-western scores. Beyond cinema, Alessandroni led the group I Cantori Moderni and released a series of influential easy-listening and exotica albums under his own name. His catalog is noted for its inventive use of unusual instrumentation and atmospheric textures, leaving a lasting mark on both Italian film music and international library-music collectors.
