Lorenzo Regazzo

Bio

Lorenzo Regazzo is an Italian bass-baritone born in Venice in 1969. He studied at the Conservatorio Benedetto Marcello in his hometown and later at the Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena, where he worked with renowned teachers including Arrigo Pola and Renata Scotto. Regazzo has appeared at major opera houses and festivals throughout Europe and the United States, including La Scala, the Salzburg Festival, and the Metropolitan Opera. His repertoire spans Baroque works by Monteverdi and Handel to 19th-century roles in operas by Rossini, Verdi, and Mozart, with particular acclaim for his portrayals of Leporello, Figaro, and Papageno. In addition to his stage career, Regazzo has recorded extensively for labels such as Deutsche Grammophon, Harmonia Mundi, and Naïve, contributing to award-winning performances of both operatic and sacred repertoire.
