Andrew McMahon is an American singer-songwriter and pianist best known as the frontman of the bands Something Corporate and Jack's Mannequin, as well as his solo project Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness. Born in Concord, California, in 1982, he began his career in the early 2000s with Something Corporate, whose piano-driven pop-punk sound gained a dedicated following. After the band's hiatus, McMahon launched Jack's Mannequin, releasing several albums that blended introspective lyrics with orchestral arrangements. In 2014, McMahon debuted his solo project, Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness, which expanded his sound into indie pop and electronic textures. His solo work has been noted for its personal storytelling and anthemic melodies, and he has continued to tour and release music under this name.
