UFO is a British rock band formed in Enfield, London, in 1969. Originally rooted in space rock, the group evolved into a prominent hard rock and heavy metal act during the 1970s and 1980s. Their classic lineup, featuring vocalist Phil Mogg and guitarist Michael Schenker, produced influential albums such as "Phenomenon," "Force It," and "Lights Out." The band achieved significant success in the UK and Europe, later gaining a cult following in the United States. UFO's sound combined melodic hooks with heavier riffs, helping to shape the developing heavy metal genre. Despite numerous lineup changes, the group has maintained a presence in the rock scene for over five decades.
