Angels & Airwaves is an American rock band formed in San Diego in 2005. The group was founded by Tom DeLonge following his departure from Blink-182 and has featured a rotating lineup of musicians including guitarist David Kennedy, bassist Ryan Sinn, and drummer Atom Willard. The band is known for its atmospheric sound that blends pop-punk roots with expansive, anthemic rock arrangements. Their debut album We Don't Need to Whisper was released in 2006, followed by several subsequent releases that established their signature style of emotionally driven, cinematic rock music.
